19th C. New Hall Chinoiserie Dish – “Boy in the Window” Pattern #1

New Hall porcelain bowl in pattern # 425, listed in its records simply as the “Window” pattern. Also referred to as “Boy in the Window”, “Girl in the Window”, or “Lady in the Window” pattern. Circa 1810.
 
Dimensions: Approximately 5⅛” diameter.
 
The body of the bowl has a Mandarin style scene and diaper and floral decoration. The scene was first transfer-printed in black, then the outlines are filled in with color by hand. The floral decorations are entirely hand-painted.
 
The reverse is undecorated.
 
This is an extremely nice example with sharp, clear decoration.
