Dutch delftware plate, circa 1750.
Dimensions: Approximately 8⅝” diameter.
Decoration:
The rim is edged in brown and is decorated with cobalt blue hand-painted floral sprays.
The cavetto is decorated with a diaper band.
The center is also decorated with floral sprays.
The reverse is decorated with three naively painted branches with leaves and bears a label.
Condition: There are kiln support marks on the reverse and glaze fleabites and frits typical of antique tin-glazed earthenware. Otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage.
