19th C. New Hall Cup & Saucer – Pattern #446 “Imari Vine”

New Hall porcelain cup & saucer pattern # 446 also called “Imari Vine”, c. 1810.

 

Dimensions: Cup approximately 3¼” diameter x approximately 2” tall.

                          Saucer approximately 5¼” diameter.

 

Decoration:

Both the cup and saucer are decorated with trees in underglaze blue and outlined with gold. There are leaves in gray and blue highlighted with gold, and red berries.

 

The underside of the cup bears a painted red workman’s mark.

 

The underside of the saucer is undecorated.

Condition: Hairline on reverse partially visible on front; otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage.
