19th C. Wedgwood Queen’s Ware Pitcher – Colorful Birds


Wedgwood Queen’s Ware pitcher with molded body and decorated with images of birds. C. 1884.


Dimensions: Approximately 5 ¾” high x 6” wide.


The bulbous molded body is decorated on each side with colorful images of birds in landscapes.


There are cartouches with images of birds on each side of the neck and a cartouche with the outline of a child and a dog under the spout.


The base has an impressed “WEDGWOOD”, an impressed number “24”, an impressed date mark that appears to be “A [unidentifiable] M”, a red script painted pattern mark “C3586a”, and the painted numerals “87”.
