19th Century Chinese Export Canton Rose Mandarin Covered Jar
Chinese export canton famille rose covered jar, mid-19th century.
Dimensions: Approximately 4” diameter x 4½” tall.
Decoration:
The lid is edged with gold and displays a domestic scene.
The wall of the lid is decorated with a pattern of green tendrils highlighted with gold and rose colored flowers.
The body of the jar is decorated with a continuous pattern of domestic scenes.
The base is unmarked and bears a very old dealer’s label.
