Chinese Export Jiaqing Period Covered Cup With Polychrome Decoration

Chinese export porcelain covered cup, circa 1800.
 
Dimensions: Approximately 5½” high (including knop) x 6” wide (including handles).
 
Decoration:  
The rim of the cup is bordered with a polychrome band featuring flowers, birds, butterflies, and four blue reserves featuring gold leaves and a gold rondel of oriental scenery.
 
The body is decorated front and rear with polychrome rondels of oriental scenery surrounded by gold bands.
 
The strap handles on the sides have leaf attachments.
 
The lid is decorated with the same border as the cup and has a berry knop.
 
Pieces decorated in this style are more typically found in sepia tones and are less often found in these colors.
 
Condition: The cup has hairlines inside the rim, one slightly visible on exterior, and has lost gilding on handles. The knop on the lid has also lost gilding. Both are otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description.
