Pair of Blue Fitzhugh Platters
Underglaze blue Fitzhugh pattern Chinese export porcelain platters, circa 1790.
Dimensions: Approximately 13” x 10⅛”.
Decoration:
The border has the typical Fitzhugh border pattern of a trellis diaper with spearheads and dumbbells.
The center has the typical Fitzhugh decoration of four sprays of chrysanthemums and peonies surrounding a central medallion.
The reverse unmarked.
Condition: One has minor glaze pop, otherwise both in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description.
