French Market Armorial Plate with Floral Design
Chinese export porcelain plate with molded silver-form body, circa 1765.
Dimensions: Approximately 9¼” in diameter.
Decoration:
The rim is outlined with a gold band and bears an armorial with two animal supporters under a Count’s crown.
The center is decorated with a floral bouquet which is surrounded by gilt foliate garlands with pink blossoms.
The armorial is unidentified.
The reverse bears an Elinor Gordon label.
